  We ordered and were met by unfriendly comments. We ended up leaving before finishing our order. I guess the coffee cones with attitude at this store.

  A place where I spent my time for relaxing, reading, it is wide enough make me feel comfortable, busy enough makes me feel I am not alone.
  Staff, I cannot describe how they are all professional, smiling all the time, friendly with customers I see most of the customer like to be here because of the services and staff
  Keep it up guys Second cup Portland Street is the place to visit

  We Visit this site on a regular basis and have always enjoyed the experience, this evening however I was faced with a very uncomfortable situation. I visited the cafe with some good friends who are an elderly couple, while enjoying our drinks and conversation one of the staff members was cleaning the floor and dragging the chairs out to sweep under the tables. The cafe with the music playing, customers conversing was noisy to begin with and the loud dragging of chairs only made it worse, my elderly friend asked the young lady if she could lift the chairs instead of drag them, and her response was I am only trying to do my job. My friend said well we are trying to have a conversation and we can't even hear each other to which the young lady responded you could have said please. When leaving the cafe my friend went to speak with the young lady and the young lady said you owe me some respect .... yes my friend maybe could have used the word please, however as paying customers visiting a cafe, I don't go there to experience run ins with staff who make the experience uncomfortable and unpleasant ... My friend was in no way rude she was simply making a request to try and limit the noise so we could chat... to be told she owes this young lady respect is a sad state of how poor customer service has become .. As patrons of a Cafe one goes there to relax, enjoy friends and the atmosphere however this certainly wasn't the experience here tonight ..
